I just received a press release from another club stating that SAAC 36 is being held with SCMC, SVTOA and the BOSS 302 gang. It's apparently being held on Memorial Day weekend at VIR.

See the attached pdf for the details SCMC sent out it its members.

Is this for real? There was nothing on the Boss 302 site about it.

Oh, then don't tell anyone if that's the case....  Hysterical

I'm very curious about who's event this is, who's in charge of the open track and who's enforcing track rules (which clubs rules), etc. I know it's early but I remember some folks complaining about some dangerous conditions during the Utah SAAC vs SVTOA event a few years back.

I second the question about who's in charge of the open track.

I second the question about who's in charge of the open track.

The discontent from Utah remembered by some has been addressed. The factors that contributed back then went beyond the track...and all that is water under the bridge, so to speak, for both groups.

SAAC-36 and SuperFest open track, at this point in the planning process, will be a fully cooperative joint effort between both clubs and the VIR track personnel. The "rules of engagement" for open track will take into account each clubs prior rules and will be melded to satisfy both entities.

VIR track personnel will handle start, grid and corner work...the operation will be a joint effort between Tony (SCMC) and Howard (SAAC) and their respective teams. At this time, the plan is combined run groups, sorted by skill level.
