Thanks Randy, I am always available for a good critique. There are no perfect cars ( yes, I include my own in that statement ) personally I think if you are going to make claims like best in country and terms like concours, you are asking for scrutiny. I know others don't feel that way, but it takes a lot of hard work and research to have a top flight car. It's not just a bunch of rich guys flinging money around. It's the true enthusiasts building these special cars. For the most part, these people are not building Camaros on Monday and Shelbys on Tuesdays.

Can someone ask the seller of the 500 why he hasn't posted pics yet of the firewall or shock towers. This would really help us on this car. Anyone here from Denver who could stop in and look at the car? There is something weird going on and we would like to nail it down. Gary

Baaaaah!

I think we have more than enough info to draw a conclusion....apron work, firewall work, dash work, floors replaced, exterior wheel houses replaced, quarters replaced, trunk floors replaced, wrong transmission, wrong rear axle, missing parts, high price and higher to finish, not really concours or even close, poor detailing....what more do we need?

My point is what you see-is it REALLY what you see?? I see 3 different dash variations possibly and 2 different colors of primer. I am thinking maybe those are pics of different cars. Remember this is a shop that claims to have done LOTS of Mustangs AND Shelbys. I see NO HOLES in the rear metal panels where the rear interior panels would have been pop rivited on. There are a few other things I see that leads me to think DYNACORN. The picks I want will help determine what may be going on here.

It's not a Dynacorn body.  The Dynacorns have a seat reinforcement over the transmission hump like a convertible. It's just a crappy car that was restored poorly. I really don't see the problem here ... no harm in restoring a crappy car. I just have issue with all the bad choices made in the restoration process and lack of history with the car.

If you are going to use the terminolgy this seller is using you should be able to back it up.  "Concours" cars don't have the poor detailing this car has and "best in the nation cars" aren't cobled together with a mish mash of parts. A concours car is not just a shiny car with reproduction tires. It is a model for all other cars on assembly line parts and techniques.

Not to mention the car is probably priced 30-40% more than full retail and there are thousands of dollars of rework to be done.

Excellent video. I love the fact the sellers quotes are included!  +4

Thanks Pete. Wasn't aware of the differences like the reinforcement of the Dcorn bodies. Ib just do not understand the discrepancies I see in the pics.

Dcorn bodies use metric hardware also, if you have ever seen one up close and personal there is no mistaking it for an original car.
