OK.  with the help of Ed supplying original samples. I made a short run of these knobs and they are pretty darn close to originals.   As you know when originals pop up on ebay they are very expensive.  These knobs have been made with the correct threaded metal insert and the correct groove on side of knob.  80.00$ free shipping to saac members.

this knob c8wy also fits 68-69 cougar  & uses the thin lock nut to be correct not the tapered nut like on the c8oz knob.

A much needed Shelby & cougar part as this shift knob was hard to find even back in the 80s. Now we have to convince the 69-70 Shelby 4--speed owners that this is the knob that came on your car from the factory NOT the c8oz  blue stripe service replacement knobs that are very common. Just look in your 69-70 Shelby owners manual as there is a photo of the shifter handle with this c8wy all woodgrain knob.
