I have to say - I was worried about having the panels shipped back.  I've dealt with shipping companies before, and some of the packages I've received reminded me of the old airline/luggage commercial where a huge ape throws around and stomps on people's luggage...I'm old.  Grin

Larry is a master at packing things.  It took me about 15-20 minutes to unpack the panels, and there was not damage at all...and, my dog got to enjoy all the Styrofoam peanuts on the floor.  Grin

I'm guessing this is far from Larry's first rodeo, as each panel was covered with garbage bags, wrapped with green serene wrap and surrounded by newspaper, bubble wrap, serene wrapped again, and then surrounded with the aforementioned peanuts.

And, yes - shipping  is NOT cheap!

Larry Zobeck, 586-904-0007.  I told Larry he will probably be seeing more of these panels.

I would definitely like to know more about the cheaper shipping because you are correct that was not cheap.  Luckily I am heading to Michigan Labor day weekend so I save on return shipping.

The panels look beautiful.  I am also definitely interested in some shipping advice as this is a punitive cost.  I am getting ready to send mine and would love to hear other options.

My seat backs were just finished and will pick them up Wed. from Larry. Will post how they look. Wish I had taken before shots, they were in bad shape.

Just shipped my 67 interior quarter trim panels, the 2 large ones, to Larry in Michigan, from Long Island. $41 and that included $10 for $500 insurance. Dropped it at the Post Office on Monday morning and they said it would be delivered in 2 days. Used the  US Post Office. As long as the length, width and depth of the box add up to 108" or less they'll ship it. I have found them to be cheaper than UPS, and right around the corner. The biggest pain was the box. Spent 2 days looking and asking around for something big enough. Finally went to U-Haul and bought one of their large wardrobe boxes for $13. 2 rolls of packing tape and a small roll of bubble wrap at Staples $27. The pain portion of the deal was figuring out and refolding and taping the box so the 2 panels would fit. I have been saving packing material for a while so I had enough packing paper and foam and other stuff to finish the job. Hope this helps. Brian

Thanks Csheff. Yes, Larry confirmed delivery. Pleasantly surprised at how fast the post office got them there. B
