Is anyone going?  I have never been to the museum, so I'm going to bring #1609 and enjoy the day.  http://nctrans.org/Events/Auto.aspx

I've been twice, pretty good turn out both times.  I'm planning on going again and bringing my car.  Long term forecast looks poor though.

Good Lord willin', we'll be there. Forecast is looking good with temps in the low 80's and not too much humidity.   Grin

We went there after one of the SAAC Conventions at Charlotte back in the '90s.  The auto and train museum is great, train yard amazing and steam locomotive ride fun but very short.  There was a small regional gathering of classic cars when we visited.  It would be nice if you could post photos after of the event. There are some wonderful cars in the region.

We had a great time and the weather really co-operated.  Four of our group attended and show mgt. allowed us to park together: The Briggs in their beautiful Aurora Cobra, The Bakers (aka The Commish) in their gorgeous '67 GT350, Rob Syvertson in his Paxton-equipped 6S013 carry-over and us, the Simms (NC Trackrat) in 6S1467.  It was a big show with a wide array of all things Ford from "Tin Lizzies" to the latest models.  We met some other Shelby owners who promised to join SAAC and become active, along with some very interesting folks from NC, SC and VA. Will try to post a couple of pics later if I can get them downloaded and down-sized from my cell phone

Very nice!  I've already been contacted by one of them about coming to our fall event.
