Attention all SAAC North Carolina Members:

There has been a CHANGE OF PLANS regarding our Fall Meet

Due to many conflicting car enthusiast events also scheduled for Saturday October 21st, Denny Dietz and I have decided to CANCEL our joint NC/SC meeting at the Crossroads Ford garage located at Indian Trail, NC on that date.
Instead, the club has been invited to another venue for that date.  Email notifications have been sent out, but if you have not received one, please contact either Denny (for South Carolina) or myself for the North.

SAAC of North Carolina:  Brian Glover    bubbletime1@gmail.com

SAAC of South Carolina:  Dennis Dietz   dwdietz1@gmail.com

We hope to also have some SAAC Carolina's swag available for purchase.  Keep checking this section of the forum for updates.  I hope to see you all there. Wink

Just a quick reminder that our Fall Meeting is this Saturday, October 21, 2017.   As this event is being piggybacked along with a private party, please email directly if you did not receive an email detailing the event.  As of this time, all spots to park your Shelby have been accounted for.  Thanks, and please remember to bring a gift card for a local grocery store to fulfill the wishes of our host.  I can be reached either by email at:

Bubbletime1@gmail.com or by phone at 919 265-4081

Denny and I look forward to seeing you there!

Would love to see some pictures if anyone has any.

Here are some ... Tom Cotter featured the Shelby GT350 and Brian & Denny of the Carolina's SAAC Region they had quite a turn-out:
2 - '65's
6 - '66's
10 - '67's (GT350 & GT500s) three of the '67's had red lights in the back of the upper scoops.  A GT500 rolled-in a bit late and was covered in dust and dirt from years of storage
1 - '68's (GT500 KR?)
1 - '69's (GT500)

also 4 Cobra's

The variety and scope of vehicles was great ...

Brian and I would like to thank all those who participated in our joint North Carolina-South Carolina event held at Tom Cotter's last Saturday. Perfect weather, great place to gather and show off our cars, and the BEST host anyone could ask for. We can't thank Tom enough for offering to host our annual event and tie it to his Woody Party! So many beautiful Shelby's and their proud owners showed up for this event. It was really nice to meet everyone and finally put names and faces together. What a fine group of people who are Shelby enthusiasts. A special thanks goes out to everyone who participated in our quiz for door prizes. We found out that the answer to question number (6) on our quiz was incorrect as George B. had a copy of his original invoice for his 1967 GT-500 on the windshield. Bill followed up with Dave Matthews for the correct answer so we'll try that question again at some future point. Here's a list of the Shelby's that were on display, and I hope I didn't miss any:

Year   Model   Serial No.
1965   GT-350   5S198
1965   GT-350   5S478

1966   GT-350H   6S490
1966   GT-350   6S1467
1966   Gt-350H   6S1568
1966   GT-350H   6S1116
1966   GT-350H   6S1888
1966   GT-350    6S832

1967   GT-350   26
1967   GT-350   23
1967   GT-350   159
1967   GT-350   1413
1967   GT-500   525
1967   GT-350   1609
1967   GT-350   3062
1967   GT-350   2168
1967   GT-350   145
1967   GT-500   448

1968   GT-350   2175

1969   GT-500   1584

I've attached a link to the photos that I took, here goes:

That looks like a fantastic party / SAAC meet!
Thanks for sharing the photos and the list of ID's. Would love to see more photos if anyone else has them.

There is one '67 missing from that ID list. The 1967 GT350 black with Torque Thrusts.
Anyone know that ID #?

I don't recall, but is that the car with the sign on the back seat that said 4400 original miles?  Odometer was showing 4495.

Be nice to track down the drone pilot and see what photos/videos he took from overhead.

I still have to go thru photos, but will post a link to them when done.  What a fantastic turnout.

I didn't notice any signs in the interiors in the photos posted so far.
I look forward to seeing your pictures.

Yes, Thank You Bill!

Lots of great photos of both the front and back for these beautiful cars on display. The Iso Grifo is my favorite of the non Shelby's.
 Chug a Lug

Notice the Medium Gray '67 #0145 has a Mustang "GT" pop open gas cap. I think JD once mentioned it was one of the very few cars that slipped by with it from new.
Definitely not the norm.

I'm still hoping someone might know what the ID#_____ is for the BLACK '67 GT350 with the torque thrusts/BFGs and slant inboard grille.
I think it has a raised tail light panel, but it's hard to tell from the only photo of the back, which is way in the background and behind by the '69 great pumpkin.
