The local Mustang club asked for cars to be used in the 4th of July Parade in our nations capital and my hometown,Washington D.C. We will have 10 cars and 4 will be Shelbys. Will try and take a bunch of pictures as this is a unique experience. I plan on letting my niece drive the car as she was born a year after I got it and she remembers it from "back in the day" when she used to call it the "Rustang" 😜
She drove down the boardwalk in Ocean City last year at the Cruisin Ocean City Car Show and she says she can check that off her bucket list, hopefully this is one more item

Sounds like fun! I would love to be able to take 2185 up there but the traffic back and forth from Stafford is just too much of a PITA. Have fun !

A little girls dream comes true. She was born the year after I acquired the car in 1971, she saw it live, die, sit and being restored. She always wanted to drive it somewhere "special" so today that wish became a reality. Here's a picture on 7th street on the National Mall in DC

I just got this pic of my car in the Severna Park Maryland 4th of July parade.  It was such a blast.  There must have been at least 100 classic cars in the parade and of course I was the only Shelby.  There were several other vintage Mustangs.

Are you coming to the NCRMC show at Cowles Ford on Saturday?
