CSX 2032, the 260 Cobra originally purchased by Scarab creator and Woolworth heir Lance Reventlow, is now on eBay. The car has been completely restored as one of very few early cars to have left the Shelby works with a high number of competition options. It has been the unfortunate target of a used car dealer who has spread lies about its provenance for years, which has possibly held back its ability to sell. Its history is clearly spelled out in the SAAC Registry; it is a fully legitimate 260 Cobra sold to Lance Reventlow with competition options; it is considered as comp-equipped car as per factory records; and the eBay listing presents as full a picture and description of the car as any potential buyer could desire. Its owner is getting on in years and wants it gone. If you have ever wanted a legitimate comp-equipped early Cobra, your opportunity is here.

You're a good man Ned to help out with that car.  What a beautiful car, hopefully I won't get sued for saying that.

Brian, the clown who has been denigrating the car has made more empty threats than anyone could imagine, with no basis beyond his wanting a commission for creating a fantasy history of the car at odds with reality. His threats are pointless, as no attorney (a) will listen to him, and (b) no attorney will work for nothing. And nothing is what this jerk is all about.

Last time I checked you can't be held liable for your opinions or telling the truth.

I remember seeing this car at Mecum Kissimmee this year - it was bid up to $800K

https://www.mecum.com/lots/FL0117-269413/1962-shelby-cobra-roadster/

I also thought I saw it on eBay previously for around $2M, but I could be wrong.

Great car!   Chug a Lug

I see there are now two threads on 2032 under the same heading. I had originally put one in the CSX 2000 section, as I figured that is where most people checking out small-block Cobras might start. And it has been moved. OK.

Any knowledgeable Cobra authority could perform a PPI on this car and would reach the conclusion that it retains a great deal of originality, in direct contrast to what Mr. Dick would have us believe. And yes, it has been bid to some impressive numbers previously, but I am told the seller's reserve is more approachable at this point.
