Question:

Why is CSX3028 painted (at least at one time) like CSX3012 from the Elvis movie Spinout?
I thought the white 427 with a red meatball (#11) was CSX3012 from the movie, but there are pics of CSX3028 dressed the same way.
Anyone know the story?

Thank you!

Jack Hurt was supposed to be the buyer on 3012. He asked for it to be painted white with the red roundels. But before delivering it, Shelby American lent the car to MGM for the "Spinout" movie and the car was damaged during filming. 3028 became the replacement for Hurt, and was of course painted the way he wanted it - white with red roundels.

Thanks, Ned!
That certainly explains it.
