Do you want the nut with the chrome air cleaner or the standard air cleaner.  They might be the same.  There was nothing special about the wing nut to the HiPo carb.  AMK sells a pretty nice repop in the short term, F-355. Make sure the nut has the dimple that locks into the air cleaner lid.

Give Andrew a call at MAGMUSTANGS.  He is on this site as well.  (Name = Andrew@MagMustangs)

Best of luck

   Mark ,
It sounds like you are looking for a "single indent" version , different that the very common "double indent or dimple" version . I was told there is a reproduction out there but I can't help with a source or part number.

Hi Randy,

The wing nut in the AMK kit No. F-355 has the single dimple.  Is that the one you are thinking?

Morning guys

Thanks for the replies..

I am looking for one for the chrome Air cleaner lid, I had been sent an image from Dan C a while ago and while looking around for one there seems a few different types out there... Some have the Indent on the outer and some further in board from the edge?? Is this common to have the Ident in different places?  Some single some double as you say Cory...  There was one single Ident on Ebay a while ago that was made by ???Delco??

I am not really looking for a reproduction but thanks anyway...  Grin

      morgy,
Some feel the "indent" on the Ford part is "rounded" instead of "squared" like the Delco unit is. I've seen them both ways.

So, which one is correct for him? Which style would be considered assembly line correct?

It took me a while to have time to dig through my stash. I have 4 single dimples and 1 double dimple. I also have a double dimple with the dimples at 10 and 4 instead of 12 and 6.....

Thanks for looking Andrew...

I look forward to hearing what would be correct for the C6ZF,  I will put money on there being a crossover in 66n Roll Eyes
My engine has an assembly date code 6D13M and the carb has C6ZF-C    B6BD??

Thanks

The original from my Hertz car ( 477) is a single "square top" notch. I also have originals without any notch as well as those with two and varied "clocking" of the notches as Andrew mentioned. It is VERY likely there was one vendor for these that supplied various automakers.
