Was this installed on engine and painted blue from the factory?  Not sure whether to mask it off or not when I paint the engine tomorrow.  

Also, same question for the timing pointer.

   Dampner satin black , sleeve natural ( most of the time) pointer, blue engine color. The engine assembly book used at the engine plant ( not the Osborne repops)  for each specific engine is very clear on this.

Small block or big block?   Sort of the same answer (black) but no spacer used on one of them Wink
