Like all good Marylanders I am headed "downey o'shin " ( down to the ocean ). It's time for the annual Cousin Ocean City Car Show. While 3500 cars register for the show many thousands of others just show up. They can't park at the inlet or the convention center the streets are open to all. Any other Shelby's going down?

I wish I could say I was going to be there but my weekend is slammed with family obligations.  One has to carefully and skillfully share time between car and family to maintain that delicate balance.  Let us know how it goes and send pictures.

1970 Grabber Blue Convertible and met and original owner 67 GT350 owner with his car. Also spotted a 1968 red GT500 will try and post some pictures. Might go to the Mustang show today at Dead Freddie's and see if any other Shelby's are there.

At the Mustang Car show today at Dead Freddie's, the wind caught the door of a late model Saleen and it waacked the door of a 68 GT500. Very small chip, but the owner was cool about it but the girl who opened the door was almost in tears about this. She was more upset then the owner of the GT500. The owner has several cars (early T-Birds, 68GTE Cougar and others) he was just laid back and said he was getting some paint work done anyway. Cool guy 😎

Didn't catch his name, but he said he was taking his GTE Cougar to Ford Carlisle

Yup, it was him.  I texted him and he now thinks I am psychic.  I think I'll let him ponder that for a while.  This could be fun!   Hysterical

I ended up going to Ocean City MD with my daughter on Saturday.  Had a great time.  I ran across 2 GT500KRs that were owned by two brothers who live in Annapolis which is my home town.  I asked them why I have never seen their cars at the Annapolis Cars and Coffee or any of the local shows and they said they rarely take the cars out of the garage.  they were both beautifully restored to concourse quality best I could tell anyway.  Very nice guys.

I believe I also spoke with the Gt500 owner you saw at Dead Freddy's with the door chip.  he had his car at the OCCC parking lot when I ran into him.  He was an extremely nice guy.

I have attempted to post pictures of the two KR's so I hope it works.

Found a video of my car, it's at about 31-32 seconds, the camero and the Barracuda belongs to two friends of mine. The camero has a blown 572 big block, he paid $1600 for it over 30 years ago, the Barracuda was built in a barn by idiots (we were too stupid to know you can't drive a blown Hemi on the street) It started as a $600 rust bucket, all steel with a blown 426 Hemi. In the barn is where we do most of the hot rodding/restoration, my car was done in the barn also.
Here the video
