I plan on attending Pinehurst on Saturday, May 6, 2017.  Who would like to meet up (sans cars) and walk around and talk about all the wonderful eye candy on display?  Perhaps grab a bite?

For anyone who actually has no idea what I'm talking about:

Peg and I will be there displaying one of our Porsches the Fairway Club.  Hope to see you there.  Pray for dry weather!

Stan,

How did the event go for you?  Do you have any pics you'd like to share?

We left the house at 6 a.m. since Pinehurst wanted us on the Fairway before 8 a.m.  Misty rain off and on in the morning but it stayed dry all afternoon.  David Hobbs cancelled due to a touch of the flu but Steve Matchett did a spectacular job of commenting on the race car display which was awesome, especially the Ferrari 500TR and the Porsche RSK.  The ex-Howard Hughes Rolls Royce took Best of Show:

All in all, an excellent event with a wide and varied assemblage of 122 (one for every year of Pinehurst existence) concours entrants however, the Fairway Club had an incredible array of cars...I counted 22 Ferraris, 76 Porsches along with about 40 or 50 Corvettes, Mercedes, etc. With rain clouds looming, we "snuck out of the concert around 5:15 p.m. and got home at 7. I do have some pics on my phone and will try to download and post some in the next day or so.

Thanks for the update and link.  Interesting that Hughes bought (ordered) the car when he was 20 years old - wow!
