Sad It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of long time SAAC & WASAAC member Gary Campbell. His enthusiasm & passion for Shelbys was well known to all in the Shelby World, and along with his many accomplishments was a Concours Judge for the 1968 Shelbys.I personally will miss our comical banterings at the monthly WASAAC Meetings. This is how I will remember you Gary, going for the Root Beer( from left to right).........................s2ms, papa scoops, Gary Campbell)............ Very sorry to hear about Garys passing. Gary, a long time SAAC judge, he taught me a lot. I always enjoyed Gary and a SAAC convention in Virginia was particulary memorable... who could forget his "clean suit" in California?

Godspeed.

Kind of lost for words. Knew Gary for allot of years and if you ever met him you would surely remember the exchange. Never afraid of sharing a detail or his opinion especially about Boeing and his years there. Always funny and entertaining, he will be missed

Wedgeman  thanks for letting us know. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family today

He was a good guy,a friend and quite a unique character (meant in a good way) . Gary and his persona was part of my Shelby experience.  It takes all kinds to make a world and it will be a little more boring without his kind. It brings a smile to my face even now when I think back over the years of our interactions . He will be missed.RIP.

I've known Gary since before he even had a Shelby, good guy and we will all miss him. We shared our information on our cars, never did figure out the proper carb spacer issue on 68's, but had good research time. Still remember his 1st Shelby, wonder who ended up with that, and his last one.(it shared time at Mcleouds body shop with my dads former 68 500, both sharing paint time together) Will miss you greatly, Papa scoops, Phred

Gary will be greatly missed (hadn't heard he was ill) & a good guy who loved the 68 shelbys & talked about them a lot & traveled to many Shelby events over the years. He used to visit here years ago as his mom (if I remember correctly) lived in Louisville ky. area & he would stop by when visiting her & talk cars & look at ford parts & ask asked many questions as he wanted to learn as much as he could about 68 shelbys since he was collecting parts & restoring his 68 Shelby convertible & I went to his place in WA. once back years ago when in that area on a car trip. He was activly involved in ford events in WA. area & had many connections & was always willing to help out at SAAC events . RIP  GARY

I knew Gary as a Shelby club member and fellow Boeing employee. I'll miss his straightforward honesty and candor. WASAAC meetings and events just won't be the same.
