The grille emblem on the "wrong side" in my opinion is typical Shelby quality control or someone thinking "let's look at this".  If someone can figure out the car number this is certainly vindication to have it on the wrong side of the grille :-)

I've been busy looking at stuff in the background, completed cars and San Jose delivered cars, have seen stills that look from the same/similar time frame.

Is the car a GT350 or GT 500? I have a time code running at the bottom on the version I'm seeing and cannot get a clear pause of that section of the car.

Anyone recognize the guy working on the Cobra??

Great to see Shelby wheeling a '67 around the back lot!

JD

Here's another screen grab of mine that proves that a segment of that Discovery Channel video was reverse-imaged:

I know, I could have shown this frame that shows the side stripe first (and eliminated any speculation), but hey, I did add the Grin in my original reply when I said:

But check out this frame - CS driving a RH drive Grin GT350 at LAX during that same video shoot!!

So, sorry if I caused any unneeded theorizing there, I was just having a little fun. I never expected that to gain any traction at all.

In actuality, I was expecting you guys to bust my chops hard on that one right away!

Thanks for the additional still, however it looks like it is a GT350 not a GT500. I flopped the image, see below.

I thought it was a bit too nimble to maneuvering around the back lot to be a GT500.

Hey Rich!

I have 41 screen grabs from my television set (dated July 2014) from that awesome video. But check out this frame - CS driving a RH drive Grin GT500 at LAX during that same video shoot!!

Note the words on my TV screen, I did not reverse this image:

Someone reversed it.....look at the Wiper Arms......going the wrong way.

Yes, replies #9 and #11 brought that up.

Thanks for that close up of the side stripe Kieth...(and the flopped version JD)

As a GT350 in Brittany Blue;
Only one car shows up an engineering car. #1075 was a 4-spd, with a factory Paxton, but Magstar equipped. SA build 3/10 and shipped same day.

There were 31 GT350s with a 4-spd and 10-spokes. All had black interiors.

Kieth,
That is very interesting....please tell us more about this Discovery episode from July 2014!

If I recall correctly, it was a show about Mustangs, and it had some interspersed video segments about Shelby's in it. That was almost 3 years ago, and I know we had our DVR replaced in that span of time. So I cannot go into my saved programs and look to see what the show was called.

But I will recheck my saved programs in the new DVR and see if I happened to re-record it. I'll report back with info if I did.

I knew right away it was something I had never seen before, which is why I took those 41 screen grabs. And again, just one segment of the video had the images reversed. One thing I did miss at the time though, was what was noticed here on the Forum, that the grille emblem was on the driver's side instead of the passenger side. I was just focused on the emblem itself being reversed, not on the location of it.

That's what's cool about sharing stuff - everybody picks up on different things. Also, I went back here & changed my previous posts to note that it's a GT350.

Yeah, 1075 was considered a "Public Relations / Pool Car" and it is the only GT350 painted Brittany Blue that was a "company car."
And my best guess is 1075 was company car #065
