Would anyone happen to have a front and/or a rear view photo of this GT500. I believe it is #1179.
(side view photo from JD's previous post)

Thanks,
Rich

So... what's with the rear end thing?

We're not going to hear about a seizure of 30,000 rear end images on the internet, are we?

I guess I'm just an enabler:

It's not just the rears, I like the fronts too!
 Grin

Thanks for sharing this photo John!

It started out years ago just collecting photos of '67s in each color, with and without lemans stripes. That evolved into photos of each grille version for each color, and then added wheels for each of those versions.

Then I found the S-TechNet site listing all the DSO and VIN #'s, so I created my own spreadsheet. Curious about the grilles, I started noting each cars grille style looking at when each change occurred. Well that wasn't enough fun, so I added another column for tail light panels, and most recently the rear exhaust trim.

Patterns are starting to develop. I realize that many cars have had all kinds of changes through the years, but with each added car the picture get a little bit clearer as too when the changes occurred. Could this be an obsessive compulsive disorder...probably. But, there is the thrill of the hunt. I have about 700 plus cars logged in to date. So I just keep digging.

There's a 50% chance this could be #0779, a second GT500 Nightmist Blue in concours at Road America.

The only visible difference to easily tell them apart is the wheels. #0779 has Magstars and #1179 has 10-spokes.

Yes, but 779 has license plate screws and 1179 does not.

Richstang, I have some images of #1179 (the one with the 10-spokes) It won Gold in Div 1 at SAAC 39.

Have to get them out of another computer later.

It has inboards with the flat upper grille that sits in the opening.

Here are a couple photos. the car also has ducted lower scoops and flat tail panel and modified '66 exhaust trim rings.

^Now, that is some great detective work!
I was actually looking at the sticker in the plate area to see if it was placed differently. I couldn't see the license plate bolts on #0779.
Nice!

Thanks JD...you came through with the front and rear views! The details you noted are helpful as well.
(Ha...you said "I" won DIV II Gold with #1179, that was Geary B's. car. I saw the photo where you were detailing it, lending a helping hand. That was kind of you!)

I'm going to push my luck with two more photo requests from SAAC 39. (This will be the last one from Road America, I promise)

Would anyone happen to have a rear view of #1519, this Brittany Blue GT500 that was in the popular vote display area.
also
looking for a rear view of #2845, the Wimbledon White GT350 in the concours area.

Thanks for everyone's help!
Rich P.

Sorry, no rear end for 2845.

I don't know the number for this car.

Rich part of that was a typo, my fault, which has been corrected - should be "It" not "I" and you added a extra number and made it Div II - it was and I did post Div I Gold

I think the back end of the no stripe Brittany car Jon posted is the #1519 car, here is another of the same and the front

I do not have a back-end of the white concours car, I think there was one posted by someone else in one of the SAAC 39 threads.

That's fantastic, that BB GT500 is #1519!

Sorry JD, I was teasing you a bit (I'm sure you'd like to own that one, I know I would!).
Thanks for correcting me on #1179 as a Div I - Gold.

Yes, that Brittany Blue is #1519. It was the last car in the '67 popular vote area before the '68's. Your car was next in the line to the right.

Thanks for checking on the white GT350 in concours! I'll look again in the SAAC 39 section.
