I like many are still waiting to here if there will be a safe lock down area for the cars. We don't want one car to disappear or have any problems. Many sporting events have a curfew say in at 8-9 then NO ONE enters or exits until 7-8 the next morning no excuses. If you argue fuss and fight the armed guard might have authorization to beat you about the head and shoulders with a night stick. There is always that guy that doesn't understand the importance of this matter and therefor will have to park in the general parking areas. I don't trust general parking areas and will wait to see if this can be addressed. Thoughts!

From SAAC Heads-up E-mail:

"...Both hotels will have night parking lot security on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights. ..."

I'll be passing through Chicago on my way to the convention again this year.  I had fun in the Hertz caravan last year (:

I just called the Wyndham and they don't have any queen beds.  Just doubles and Kings.  Called the Crowne and had a much more pleasant telephone experience (got transferred 3 times with Wyndham and ended up with broken English I couldn't understand) and ended up with 2 Queens.

I'm going.  This will be #0036's.......7th convention.

If: you are leaving your car at the Speedway, there were no issues at the MCA 40th last year.  It might be easier to break into Ft.Knox.  Guards and security cameras are everywhere.

Just curious:  why are you guys picking the Wyndham over the Crown Plaza?

       OR the Crown PLaza?

Has anybody, checked Trip Adviser, on these two(2) hotels?  Just saying. Cool

re
Will probably drive up to the area Saturday evening or Sunday morning, any recommendation  of where to stay or where not to stay? May be bringing truck and trailer, if we decide to go to Mid America

We are planning on having a cruise to Indy for SAAC 42 this year.   Chug a Lug

An email blast with details will be sent out in the next week or two with all the details.   Cool one

We will likely establish two meeting points on the highway's Oasis/Plaza.

Dan Sliwinski and John Guinta are our leads and will also establish the route and possible stop for lunch.   Popcorn

Departure  PeelOut will be Thursday morning of the SAAC event week.

Stay tuned and ask questions if you have any.

Best to all!   Party on
