Wonder if it was a buddy of the seller shilling to make you pay more.

Will be interesting to see if you are contacted in the near future.

Hope you end up with it.

Well....I didn't win the eBay auction Angry  Appears I was cyber outgunned by an enthusiast with a fast computer and a desire to hold it for ransom.

No worries....If you see it for sale... Give me a holler.

Well that sucks.... If I had it, I'd just give it to you.

Maybe there were games being played in the background and it will resurface again. I hope so and I hope you get it.

By the way..... Welcome!  Chug a Lug

How did this manual get away from the original car.  That would be a story.

I talked to the Seller and he mentioned that he was a "Corvette Guy" and found the manual in a box of Corvette magazines he got at a garage sale.  He lives in the same state that #1361 was originally sold.  I am the second owner in Arizona (August 1980).  No clue how it wound up in Arizona as I found it in a barn in Northern AZ. The guy I bought it from is now deceased.

John,

Why don't you ask the seller for the new owner's contact email and send a message that you will replace his 'new' purchase which is really only good for your car, with a better NOS manual?  There is no reason that this new owner would say no to that unless there is funny business going on. (or they plan to steal your car in the future since figure they have the manual already. Grin)
