It is easy to mis identify. I used to see a lot more of these passed off as Shelby wheels in the past . Not so much today.   Not 67 Shelby Magstars but Mercury Marauder. It looks the part but to those familiar 67 Shelby's know the factory wheel had chrome rims and not painted steel rims with detachable beauty rings like in ad .

Yep, saw they had the chrome rims but didn't know what they were from.

Thanks for the info.

Not to mention how huge those center aluminum hubs look.

Shouldn't they be 15 X 7?

It doesn't really matter about any nuance detail because they aren't Shelby Magstars.

Actually I see Mag Stars on Craigslist quite often advertised as "Shelby"....

I see the 15X6 and eliminate them before even looking at the photos..

I was told you could buy them through the Sears catalog.  The again, at one time you could also buy a house through the Sears catalog, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Indeed! When I was much younger I found a single wheel in a salvage yard, and spent the next two weeks combing the entire yard until I found all four, only to discover when I tried to mount them on my 69 fastback that they were a GM pattern! They ended up going to a Navy fellow who put them on his '63 Grand Prix. Aloha, Robert

Back in the Mid 80's when I owned a Mustang Shop, "Fast Freddie" sold my Business Partner a set of Mag Stars swearing they were off of a Shelby.  NOPE, GM Bolt Pattern. when my Partner called him up threating him, Freddie drove over from Jacksonville to give back the Money and pick up the Wheels.  That was the First and LAST time I ever bought anything from him.
