By my measurements, the grommet for the 1 1/2" hole is about perfect with 1 7/8" total diameter.

It's pretty close, but I measure 1  11/16 (1.69) diameter from the original grommet. Could be a good answer for the lesser seen fender bucket grommets.

1 11/16" is my measure also.   The 1 3/8" with 1 3/4" diameter would probably be closer (but less snug in the hole).

I have made these and currently looking for a retailer to sell them to.

There are 4 on every '67 Shelby.  Some cars are missing some or all and the originals are rock hard now and can tear when getting them in/out.

If I remember correctly there is a small and a large, so 2 of each?  Would that mean there are only 2 large ones on each car?  I remember running into this problem and improvised on one of my large grommets. The smaller grommet more easily sourced?  Maybe I am losing my mind and all 4 are the larger grommets?

I'm only aware of one size, 1.6875" O.D, and that is the size I had made based on the originals on my car and others I checked.

Only one size. SA took the small hole bucket and enlarged it . The other small hole will work but not like what came on the cars originally. I have a theory that the small hole big hole perception is the result of the center headlight buckets would often get replaced using the generic bucket .The fender buckets were not typically replaced as often as the high beam buckets. For those that were aware of the difference there was a alternative. Since the fender buckets are hard to see the backside we would switch the large hole fender bucket and put in place of the more visible high beam bucket . I don't think the large hole Shelby modified bucket was serviced. You have to modify the small hole bucket to make it look right. The large grommet is just as hard to find original.

They look to be really well made and a much needed part for anyone restoring a 1967.  The ones on my car are hard as rocks.  Thanks JD for taking the time to do this. Chug a Lug

JD, if I were you, I would just sell direct to the customer.  Most large retailers don't seem too interested in such a specialized part.  Based on my experience when I made a few batches of the impossible to find lower grille for an outboard light 67 with the different mesh pattern.

Hello JD,

If you decide to make a run of these, I will take 4 of them for 0100.

Thanks,
Eric

Kind of like what Nic did with the headlight center-beam wiring clips, and the flat gas cap plus the adapters.
