Show us your “Mans Best Friend” photo
« on: September 30, 2018, 08:26:37 PM »
I’ve noticed here over the past few years members honoring their dog(s) and sharing their stories when they have passed. And most on here are not ashamed to say that they shed tears, which is a normal thing to do when we’ve lost a “member” of the Family.

Please show us your “Best Friends” present AND past ;)

The top photo is my Husky/Akita mix who lived to be 14 yrs old. He was my Pal and my Best Friend.  I had to have him laid down Sept 2017 due to kidney failure :'( His name was Kobi.

The bottom photo is my loving German Shepherd who has brought me so much friendship and Love since my Kobi was laid down. It took a while but I finally made the move to get me another faithful companion. His name is Max :D

I am reminded that we are here as caretakers, just like our cars, for our furry friends. And now I am appointed the caretaker of Max :)

All nice dogs. White one a morkie? Half Maltese Half Yorkshire terrier?
"Low she sits on five spoke wheels
Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

This is Lulu. She is a 4 year old "rescued", retired Greyhound from the Miami (vicinity) track. She raced as Baby Bop. She is rescued Greyhound #4 for us. Everything is fast in this household.

She LOVES going for a ride but doesn't fit into too small a vehicle. I promised her we'd get a convertible.

This is CULLEN a long haired Siberian Husky, definitely my best friend and love him to bits

Loves a ride in a mustang, this image is him sitting in my 66 K code waiting to go for a drive, several years ago I had to sell my 2004 Mach 1 as the wife didn't like sitting in the back seat while the husky road shotgun. had to buy a SUV so he could have the back and the family can sit in the human seats.

He may not be a dog but he's my best friend.  Picked this guy up off a busy street as he was trying to cross.  I pulled to the side, stopped the oncoming traffic, and scooped up this little ball of fur as he was heading to the curb.  He was small enough to fit in the palm of my hand.  Vet said he was a feral and needed some minor medical care but could ultimately be euthanized due to over population.  No way was that going to happen on my watch!  Any cat with guts enough to attempt to cross that busy street deserved more than that.  That was about 12 years ago.
He's my "buddy" and we watch lots of sports together.  He's also my lap companion in the mornings and evenings when I'm on the computer.

Our old cat Piggy.. Damm thing thought she was a dog. It was Willie's best buddy. She would chase dogs walking past the house.

This is Kitty. He is one of four feline counterparts to Lulu, "the Greyhound".

In his case he uses cunning and ingenuity to counter Lulu's speed.  ;D

I had a friend who used to run Pro Stock. He used to say, "age and ingenuity (cheating), will beat youth and exuberance every time".

Love a thread like this.

We have 6 doggos at home.

Here are our two Aussies (excellent breed for those considering, highly intelligent, easily trained, and very social)
