Lets see how sharp you are today.  I don't know if this was a real bust or not . Shelby American cars had a lot of famous people owning their cars back in the day.  Who can name both of these people and tell us what they did for a living and what they are most famous for?

Sharon Tate and "Jay Sebring" not his real name, here is a link to a thread;

http://saacforum.com/index.php?topic=415.0

Sebring was a barber to the stars, including Shelby and Steve McQueen.  He owned (one or two?) Cobras.  McQueen and his actor buddy Robert Vaugan (sp) were both invited to the party that Charley Manson and his followers crashed, neither one made it, otherwise they too may have been killed.

  Hi to all,
Re runs can be fun....don't sweat it Jim.
Reasonably certain that this small block Cobra ended up in San Diego after all the Tate/Labianca stuff was over.

If this thread title referred to "Infamous" owners, it might include most Cobra owners, past and present on this forum, maybe? Roll Eyes

And speaking of infamous Cobra owners, how about the late New England crime boss Raymond Patriarca who owned three different Cobras... CSX 2033,2084,and 2396. I guess crime does pay. Wink

I am not sure Ollie North owned a Cobra, it never came up when I spoke to him.  He did own a dark, green 1968.
