After seeing the pictures of SA posted by SFM66H, and seeing the current front entrance posted by Camp Upshur, it got me to thinking. idea

Are any of the original buildings (65-67) still standing? I know the office building where Steve Yates' 6S051 was photographed was torn down, but what about the huge hangers? Does anyone have any overhead shots showing the current layout, vs.. the layout from Shelby's days?
Just something to think about on a cold Jan. day in SW Indiana.

I work at LAX and have viewed the former hangers regularly for 30 yrs. They are VERY different now and are enclosed warehouses not hangers. They were stripped to skeletal framing and rebuilt to buildings now vice hangers.(Sorry my iphone camera just doesn't take good pics of them).

The most accurate building of the era is the former TWA cargo facility just north of 25R. It is widely covered in the Friedman photos showing the uploading of SAI race cars to various period races. It is untouched.
