5006 - Again being abused, just like in the 1970's

An interesting variety of photos was recently posted on Flickr by the Henry Ford (Museum). They include what appear to be takeout ad shots of the '65 GT350, some engine close ups, a '65 Mustang fastback at the Venice facility. R Model details and transporters with Daytona coupes and GT350's on board.

I have not seen some of these before. Here is the link:

Are the black side scoop pictures on a coupe?

Good find, Bill. Thanks for posting the link.

I liked the pics of the Mustang surrounded by Cobras parked at the Princeton Ave (?) facility.

Yes it appears that they are. Also note the override traction bar and what appears to be an SW 240A electric fuel pump at the front of the tank.

There are also body-less shots of the coupe, and 427 Cobra chassis as well, along with coupe wooden buck shots.

More good stuff from the same source - numerous scenes from the 1965 Daytona Continental, including several views of the infamous incident when Allen Grant attempted to load his Daytona Coupe onto the transporter himself. And check out Ken Miles in a hoodie!

I wonder if the Daytona Riviera Beach Motel is still there?
