Curious who people are using these days for rebuild/restore of Holley lemans carbs. Tried a bunch, mediocre results since Mike/Jon. Let me know your experience

I do functional carb restorations, but not cosmetic restorations, so there is not much demand for my services with the Shelby crowd.

Tim,

BLP is a leader in Holley carb work. See http://blp.com/cart/

I am fairly certain Cobra Automotive is using BLP. I sent my 715 Lemans bowled Holly to BLP for a going over. My carb originally was a Carb Shop Stage 3 from Cobra Automotive. They pulled everything relating to the choke (more CFM, cleaner air flow), cleaned and colored the body, did the shafts, put in their billet metering blocks (colored to match the OEM finish), put it back together and put it on their dyno motor. I bolted it on and have not touched it in two years. Car started immediately. Very crisp response.

I know a man in NC.  Can restore fit finish and function, flow set on his 312 T-Bird motor on wheels.  Ask Howard about Don Brown.  Very very nice man too.

Willy Krup, Willy's Carb & Dyno Shop, Mt. Carmel, Illinois, world famous, look him up on the internet. I have been using him for 25 years, and you can always talk to Willy when you call, (even know he has 15 guys working for him) it's just one of the many things I like about Willy, he has never forgotten that personal service. I just had him do my 427 Lemans Bowl Carb last winter. Good luck.

"Most" do too much or too bright on the gold dichromate finish. Several items ( accelerator pump lever and "wire like" choke rod ), were BLACK and others ( some screws and clips) were silver. Maybe I'm too picky but restoring to "assembly line correct" is not what most people produce. You can start shooting the poisn tipped arrows at me now,
