67-68 Hood Questions
« on: November 10, 2023, 12:03:20 PM »
I am asking these two questions for a reason:

ONE:  Does the 67 Eleanor Mustang Hood have the same Measurements as the stock 1967 Shelby Hood?

TWO:  Will a stock 1968 Mustang Hood fit a 1968 Shelby or is it to short?

A 1968 Mustang hood would not work on a 1968 Shelby. The leading edge of the Shelby hood is shaped differently and enclosed by the header panel

Thanks, I forgot about the Header Panel on the 68's.  What about the 67's, will the Eleanor Hood fit the 67 Shelby?

I don't profess to be well versed on those oddball Eleanor cars and their various made up parts for the multitude of different versions . It is hard to find two that are exactly the same. Since most Eleanor use a 67 Shelby type nose logically chances are it may fit. Why would you want to put a Eleanor hood on a genuine 67 Shelby is the question in my mind.

None of those hoods were ever intended to interchange. If one happens to fit another consider it to be coincidental. Use the right part for the application.
