So I am doing a 69 convertible  and am trying to use all the orig parts on this car ( very original car).  My delema is the carpet.   The orig carpet in car was there but the front has a couple of spots that would take some work too fix.   I have some orig carpet from 68 convert. Which I think is the same except for toe pad. I also have orig 69 fastback  carpet but I don't think it will work because of rockers.

My question is,has anyone ever removed the toe pad on orig carpet.  Do you think it can be done then just recolor carpet?  I don't want to ruin orig carpet if its not Gona work

Pretty sure you'll find fastback and vert have different toe pad.I contemplated at one point trying to remove toe pad from one carpet and install it on another but decided not to after much contemplation

Toe pad on a 69?

Maybe you are referring to heel pad?

I was talking about removing the toe pad from a 68 convert carpet and use as a 69.   Head knock Don't know if I can do without messing up original 68 carpet.I wont try  if it cant be done.
