I believe the USRRC team car CSX2494 was at Pasadena, I am not sure if it was at the Ontario track.  Anyone have pictures of it from either location that year?

Yes, 2494 was at the track. I have some photos but they are still undigitized slides. Got to work on my technology...

Here's a couple of photos from Mosport (June 5, 1965) and St. Jovit (July 4, 1965) for csx2494.
I'm not sure if they even relate to Ontario (I'm not familiar with the Ontario track's full name).
There are a few other photos from those tracks, but these are the best overall views.

I was there that weekend. Followed Lynn P - Tom F and and Tom Mc to the track, and could sense the enthusiasm of the event. I asked my Pops if I could go out on the track that morning... and Tom Mc said sure why dont you ride with me. A couple of things stood out to me from so long ago was when I got in Toms 427 SC he had a camera with a foot long telephoto lens on it sitting in the passenger seat and said here hold this and dont let go! As we were entering the track he did a long full throttle Burn out /Blast which pitched the car sideways and took everything I had to hold onto that camera without pitching it onto the track at a very high rate of speed. We were near the front of the pack only a car or 2 were in front of us, if my memory serves me still it was supposed to be a non Hot Lap event but that went out the window after a lap or two. I asked Tom how fast were we going? He said about a Buck sixty/seventy!!! I remember VIVIDLY passing the area where my Pops was sitting inches from the wall thinking what is he going to say when we get off the track. He was GREEN and didnt look well and said thats the last time you go on any high speed runs again! From that moment so looong ago I was bitten by the entire aura of Speed and Beauty of all things that are SHELBY AMERICAN..... GOOD TIMES!!!!!

I remember this coming in off the track.  I believe it's a Lotus....
Lotus 19B - originally owned & driven by Dan Gurney 1964 - ordered from Lotus to take a 289
Wayne Linden originally found and restored it he was in COCOA and owned a model train store in Pasadena. He opened a store in Sacramento and Gordon Gimbal bought the car.

People confuse this car with the his 1962 Lotus 19B with the Coventry Climax engine: The Arciero Lotus 19B-Climax driven to victory by Dan Gurney in the first annual Daytona Continental in 1962. After completely dominating the race, the Climax engine let go with about 15 minutes left to run in the 3 Hour World Championship race. Gurney wisely pulled the car to the top of the banking, just before the start-finish line, and waited. When time expired and the checkered flag flew, Gurney reportedly hit the starter button, turned the steering wheel to the left and let gravity carry him to victory in one of the most memorable finishes in sports car racing. As you can imagine FIA adopted new rules the following year stipulating that race cars had to be under power to get the checkered flag.

THANKS Van, I was not even thinking in California or the US
As you can see from the photos I posted, I was thinking of Canada
I'm familiar with that CA town. I had a job offer there and passed.
THanks again for clearing up my confusion.
