For Immediate Release...

Car Films will be joining us at SAAC-38 to chronicle the convention once again!

They did a great job capturing the essence of SAAC-27 and SAAC-30... and will be back to do it again.

In advance of this, here are a couple of special deals...

First ...a 2-for-1 special...

SAAC-27 and SAAC-30 DVDs as a box set.....  both for 29.95

and, second...

A SPECIAL DEAL -   pre-order your SAAC-38 DVD and get either SAAC-27 or SAAC-30 DVD free!!
Thats correct...  get both DVDs for only $29.95 - that's 50% off the regular price.

This is a special pre-convention offer. After SAAC-38, the price will be $29.95 for the SAAC-38 DVD alone.

There will be a special Guest Star and cameo appearances for this year's filming...so order NOW.

As a special bonus, they will ship your free DVD first so you have something to watch until you get your SAAC-38 DVD

How cool is that?

To purchase, contact Car Films:  info@carfilms.com    1-888-CARFILMS

This special SAAC-only deal is NOT available on their website.

Has anyone pre-ordered?
I tried calling several times but just get a recording to leave a message.
1-888-carfilms is also one too many numbers or am I just being dense?
1-888-227-34567??? I was trying w/o the 7 and just got recordings.

Well I just saw the SAAC38 DVD link to carfilms at the top of the forum page and I
realized, "hey I did not get the DVD I pre ordered back in June." So I called
and the lady I spoke to said that the SAAC38 DVD has not been completed yet
for distribution to those that pre ordered or for new sales. I asked when it
would get sent out and was told "soon". If this is how well they do business it is
a wonder they are still in business. After all it has been over 4 months.....
How many others have wondered about what they bought in advance?

+1 on PayPal being so much easier. What do you mean by signing up? When I called in they just asked for the usual card and address info along with which other DVD I wanted besides the SAAC38 DVD.

Yup. I got a call from Maria this morning to verify my address...
she wanted to make sure mine was one of the first to go out and to
apologize for the long wait.

Finally got around to watching the DVD. Totally bummed with the SAAC38 portion of the DVD.
All it was was interviews. No roaming around showing the cars that were there and most of the
episode seemed to be done on Saturday. Reminder to self. Don't buy a pig in a polk....

Did you try calling? That is how I got results. 1-888-227-3456
Your not missing much though.
As I mentioned the first part of the DVD is all interviews.
Then the GT-350 race, not bad in camera shots from different cars.
There were even a few minutes of sound but a blank screen.
I need to still verify if it was the DVD or my player, so no judgement yet.
Nothing on the trans-am or open track runs.
No real mention or filming showing the variety of the cars that showed up.
The Daytona/Sebring race highlights were a cool blast from the past.
All together I would give the DVD a C-

So let's take a look at the SAAC 38 video check list according to previous comments:

Not great event coverage check.

More focus on the girls than the actual cars check.

Not good back/forth communication between the client check.

Slow delivery time for DVD check.

Not particularly great purchase price check.

So, with this info sign me up for a case of the videos!  Chug a Lug
