Doug

Just got back from Corning area of NY about 12 hours driving time from Madison.

Corning ain't NYC. It's 5 hours from here.

Well on the way out I took the scenic route through Canada. Kopecs recommendation. He blamed Aliberto. 22 hours later at 2am I pulled into the hotel.

On the 401 I learned about 130 watt low beam H4 lights the semis in Canada use. I wore my sunglasses at night. The dark ones.

Going home I went the smart way across 80. 16 hours but had to stop twice because of the bruises on Honey's heinie from sitting too long. Trailered and cruised at 75. Pulling the Shelby on the trailer. Got passed by a lot of Shelby's but answer me this, how far further is Road America past the Detroit/Dearborn exit? 4 hours?

So to do this is 14 hours I need to average over 80. Average. Looks like plan B is in order? How many daylight hours are there in May? The Pantera can cruise all day at 120 but those mosquitoes will clog up the radiator.

Caution should prevail. Too much high speed driving. Cars older. Me too. Plan B may be to watch the video. Too bad.

More like 6+, I'm guessing.   Takes me 4 from Dearborn/Detroit to middle suburbs of Chicago.    2 or so hours north from there.

I think it's pretty clear to me that the Google time of 14 hours is really screwy? The Cannonball number is 37-ish hours from NY to CA. It takes me 8-1/2 hours to get to Pittsburgh. By their numbers that would leave 6 hours to get to Milwaukee from Pittsburg?

Hey. I could fly there right? Does Wisconsin have a real airport or do they land you on the lake water in a sea plane at the edge of the glacier? I hear the Packers finally got uniforms this year too that match? What league did the Brewers decide to play in now? Triple A or what? Sounds like a great place? I don't want to miss it.

If anyone is driving through the Chicago area on Saturday, we should plan a road trip/rally/caravan up to Road America....it would be fun.

Road America is Great ! Only an hour north of me in Milw.

Lets hope there arent any tornadoes.

That mosquito trap is so cool. Never saw that before.
It would need to be securely anchored so the mosquito doesnt fly away with it.

I never travel thru Chicago until after Midnight. Its a gridlock otherwise. Even weekends arent much better.
