I was wondering if there is anything that can be done to make it easier to see when you have a personal message? The current notification in the "My Messages"
section of the link bar is VERY easy to overlook.

Go to Profile in the menu bar....on the left is Modify Profile...choose the Personal Messaging options.
You can set a message pop-up to appear when you have a PM...of course, if you have a pop-up eliminator turned on, that won't help.
Also, you can set e-mail notification for new PM's
