I think the guys on "(word is not allowed)in' Rides" are very good...though it is a cheesy name.

I also think Gas Monkey are a bunch of hacks.  I heard that the host, Richard?, just loves the limelight.  He will walk around cars intensely on stage at B-J Auction with no intention of buying them, but it gets him on camera and under the bright lights.  He will also bid with no real intention of buying if you watch him.   Roll Eyes

I watched him bid on and buy his own car this year.  It's all on video.  Later, the car ended up on Ebay with a large asking price reflecting the value he pumped up himself at BJ.

The last I heard about this car was Reggie Jackson bought it at Auction and later threatened to sue Gas Monkey if they didn't take it back because it was such a bad Repair Job it was unsafe to drive at high speeds.

article states otherwise. Jackson said it was too fast. Sold it for a 99k loss

That sure sounds like Jackson doesn't want to get sued, that's all.  Too fast, really?

I like the show. Very funny. I am still questioning what kind of shop doesn't pay for a windshield they broke? (when the monkeys farmed out their Ferrari resto)...  that would be enough for me not to ever use them.

I know of several Shops that, if YOU bring in the Windshield, do NOT pay for the Windshield if it breaks, only if you bought the Windshield thru them will they pay.

Unfortunately it seems we can't always believe what we see in the media. Often only bits and bites of what was really said

I was just providing information. Not agreeing or disputing any statements.
