I see Branda sells 67/68 trunk bumpers.
Can someone share a pic of the metal adjuster?

[on edit] or just describe it completely as picture posting is still an issue?

Mine look a lot like the hood bumpers on radiator support.   May be the same part?

I think there is a version that is all rubber, no threads or adjustment.  Look at Branda part # WS 110.

I have one missing and one is just the metal 'hood adjuster' style, without the rubber.
The head has concentric circles stamped into it.

If it were to have a rubber cover I believe it would look like this deck lid bumper:

My car isn't that far, number wise, from GT350#1242's

If your lid has nuts imbeded in the fiberglass it should have had the screw in bumpers.  Mine look like the one in your photo with a locking nut below the rubber.  Never saw one with the rubber off so can't say about concentric circles.

+1, on if the trunklid has the embedded nut it gets the hood type bumper. All rubber bumper is used otherwise. If you can see the concentric circles on the metal disc of the bumper it is too late to save . The rubber is molded onto the metal threaded post and if you can see the circles it is pretty much useless.

My car # 1317 have the bumper type with adjustment nut. I lost one over the 40+ years I
have owned the car and bought a NOS one.

Now that I know what to look for I went out to my 67 SJ parts car and cut open an already cracked front hood bumper.

Here it is displayed next to the screw-in version I found on my decklid:

Yep, that's the one!
Off to find two NOS hood bumpers!

Thank you all for your input!
