'65 grill center cap , 4 speed , OTC steering wheel , repop wheels ( safety beads) Detroit locker are red flags "to me".

How do we know it was the first brake test car? (Is there a letter or document?)
There were at least three cars shipped to LA on 1/28/1966 - 449, 463, and Randy's 477

I've tried to ID the eight LA cars - possibly as 449, 463, 477, 442, 446, 490, 496. &  489 (shipping date order)

The ten SF cars might be - 441, 475, 447, 476, 440, 448, 464, 483, 485, & 487 (again in shipping date order)

Is that correct for the 18 white Hertz cars with only the BLUE rocker stripes? My last registry did not have them noted.

I would question the "first" notation too. All the cars had to go to HP Motors for radio installation which could have had an effect on ship date too. Yes all 18 were "no roof stripe" cars. We still haven't determined if all 18 had '65 axle housings like 475,6,7, had. 480 a "non Hertz car " had a "normal" '66 rear axle housing. Cars were ( as we have known) not built with any regard to Ford vins.
