The Marti Report notes 22 Bronze cars built; 21 with 6A interior (smooth seats) and 1 other trim version.
The Registry notes 23 Bronze cars built; 22 with 6A interior all GT350s and 1 GT500 (5A interior per the "Simkins Project" data for its DSO)
I couldn't let this sit knowing they were one car apart
Per the registry;
DSO 2505 200F 6A shows 20 Bronze GT350 4spd (100 cars on the DSO)
DSO 2515 200F 6A shows 1 Bronze GT350 4spd (#0152; 19 cars on the DSO)
DSO 2509 211F 6A shows 1 Bronze GT350 Auto (#0175 only car on DSO)
DSO 2608 400F 5A shows 1 Bronze GT500 4spd (within the 263 car on the DSO)
There were no 5U (parchment interior) Bronze cars built per the registry.
The registry could have a VIN typo on the one extra car compared to the Marti report. But, I suspect the registry is correct and that Shelby American may have re-painted an existing car on the lot to fulfill a dealer's customer order quickly. If so, I would venture a guess it is the Bronze GT350 #0152 from DSO 2515 for numerous reasons. Now that is a Marti Report I’d like to see! Will it show up as another color per the Ford VIN?
Is anyone aware of a '67 Shelby that was definitely repainted another color by Shelby American from what was delivered by San Jose?
(Aside from the "Brochure GT350" #0176 believe to be delivered in Clearwater Aqua and repainted Lime Gold)
