What are those shepherds hook lookin' wire thingys that hang down from the roof supports?

How do they work with a new headliner and do I really need them on my 67 coupe?

Are you talking about the two small wires at the center rear next to the back window?

Yes, you need them. They pull the back bow and the entire headliner to the rear. Unless you want something hanging above your head that is loose and sloppy.

 Cool one

They also assure proper position  of that back bow and in turn (as all the others tension from that anchor) all the rest. You will put the head liner on the last bow, center it (as much as possible) then wrap the end of the wires around that bow and through the woven material that holds the headliner to the bow - NOT the headliner material

Okay, good!

I thought I lost the some of the original hooks and could only find the two.

I removed what was left of the original headliner in 1999 and couldn't remember what was in there.

Thanks again.....this forum is the best!
