Not mine, but interesting.  Located in South Florida, really bad ad, but it might be legit.  Thoughts?

Brian,

I believe this particular car has been for sale for over 2 years. Perhaps it is one of those "honey, I have the car for sale like I promised" situations  ;D

Frankman Motor Company has a nice White 1967 289 Tiger for just $40,975.00

Pretty sharp - If you want a "Loud" car - this could be it!
other than the paint and under-hood treatment, not sure exactly how much "mod" in the Restomod from the pix?
I thought that the "award winning" discussion on other threads here was pretty enlightening  ???

This Tiger is a Mark 1A, which is usually considered a 1966 model, built from August 1965 to September 1966.  The Mark IA cars have a VIN that starts with B38200XXXX.  The Mark II Tigers have a VIN that starts with B382100ZZZ which is considered a 1967 model, built from December 1966 to June 1967.  I don't understand why this seller is calling this a 1967.

^^^ Yeah, usually folks with Tigers will specify 1a vs 2. I have seen quite a few later Mk 1a's shown/listed as 1967... Even tho Rootes/Sunbeam did not have the 1/1a/2 designations back in the day.
I "thought" that I was told that sometimes cars were titled when they were sold vs the mfg model year?

There was an original owner 1967 Mk 1a listed for auction at the Owl's Head Museum a short while back, but it was a later s/n.

I admit, I hate yellow, but even if it was a color I liked, I don't appreciate the "do everything in body color" game plan.

My MK 1A Tiger was titled as a 67. It does happened, rational or not.

I've noticed that a lot with foreign cars. They seem to become titled as the year first sold rather than model year. I had a couple Mercedes and a Triumph that way.
