I have been watching it for a year and they dropped it 3 grand this week and then people started bidding on it and stalled, I made a deal over the phone and pick it up tomorrow  HeadSpin

2009 GT500KR #42 with 615 miles, can't wait! 1 of 571 to the US Market. Yes staying in the Austin, Tx. Hillcountry!

Spicey

Very nice, and Austin,  just down the road.

Is it for Show, Special day play or Daily Driver?

You got the twin to mine. The KR is an awesome piece. Probably the last pre title Shelby to come out of SAI to boot.

You have one of only 212 red KRs made.

I think their stock will rise again in the future. The KR is a keeper IMHO.

They made 1000 KR's in 2008.  How many after that?

As a 1968 GT500 KR guy it seems weird that they made the newgen car for 2 years.

Tom

I did get the special information sheet but no window sticker which I have ordered. If anyone knows what the silver stripe color is would chime in, unfortunately the car came with the license plate holder, which I have removed but need to plug the small holes and if I had the correct color then it would dissappear.

Oh, the car is for nice weather days and weekends only!

Thanks for the numbers on the car, I quoted the US market share of KR's. The weather here has sucked lately and haven't taken it out  PeelOut

I guess they tried..........
 Grin
Maybe they need to go back for remedial math.   Either that or they just wanted to sell cars........

I think I heard Shelby had supplier issues with the hood maker, which delayed building KR's.

So, along with wanting to match the '68 build numbers, the model year became an issue when the KR's were finished and hitting the Dealer lots.

My '08 hit the Dealer lot in November of '08 when regular '09's were out.  It kinda makes a hard sale when the car (to the Dealer) is a "year old".

I think this is why they split the production to the second year.......

Something to think about?

I guess that's their story and they are sticking with it.  Head knock

Fact is I doubt it will matter. I think they will become very desirable in years to come.

I am surprised to learn they didn't make any in White... Had a friend in high school with a white 68KR. Coolest car on the high school parking except maybe for my Grabber Orange Boss 302 Wink

Two cool cars for sure. I agree, a white a KR would have been really nice. It would have been a tough chioce for me between that and the red.

Go buy a regular GT 500 splitter to protect your carbon fiber piece, or buy a super snake part for a fraction of the cost.
