Hi RR,
I wish I had good information about the derailment. Through the years I have probably put close to 80 hours into it and still nothing other than what I printed in the Registry. I found it interesting that all 14 cars were returned to Los Angeles. They were sold through Santa Fe Salvage depot. I looked closely at Southern Pacific RR and the routes taken. One thing I wanted to do and never got to do was contact Nu Car Carriers.

Thanks Dave,
This will be the most interesting mystery if we can uncover it.I think the cars were returned to L.A. so the insurance company could (and it appears did) claim or reclaim their property.
Thanks again, now we chase Nu Car Carriers....
    Regards R.R.
