Any other shelbys with this type of spring mount to rear axle? Not from the factory anyway.

Forgot to take a picture of the other half of the mount, and the rubber insulator.

I found the picture of the center console very interesting. There were no seat belt clips on either side of the console. I questioned this before with several experts and they said it was incorrect. I even entered a question on the forum sometime back because my car #139 did not have them either. There are no holes in the console for them either. So I went out and found a pair but have not yet installled them. My car was a very early addition, #139, and now I am starting to doubt wether they were ever even there. How many other early cars did not have the seat belt clips in the center console?

Mark, 101 is an engineering car and was at AO Smith months before 139. I am not saying your car did have clips but that it should have as evidenced by records we have of dozens of cars built around your date. Maybe the owner of 140 will pipe in, he is always on the forum

Tim;
I would never challenge your expertise. I just found it interesting that here was another center console that had no clips. When they made engineering cars like this how many center consoles did they make? Was it possible they had extra consoles and decided to use them up. It would be one thing if the center console had the screw holes and slots for the clips. But if those slots and holes are not there how does one account for the inconsistancy? I discussed a similiar issue on my car with Scott Fuller and Jim Ellsworth. It had to do with the lack of the rubber strip that was stapled to the radiator support. Mine had no holes for the screws or staples and they suggested just leaving it off. I find these inconsistances interesting.
