Found, what I hope is the tip of an iceberg, some old slides my dad took at mid-Ohio in 1971.

Sorry i have to post these one at a time...

1st 2 don't click open. The fix I've found is to rename the file from 15 Boss MO 71b.jpg to 15BossMO71b.jpg
For some reason spaces make a difference during uploads here.
Click on modify post; you can modify the file by removing the old then upload the newly named file in it's place.

I was thrilled to find these two color pictures from the 68 Daytona 24hr. The first looks to be a pre-race shot positioning the cars for the start. The light blue No2 Kwech/Moffat car is almost impossible to find, nevermind in color. Both pictures are from a French web page called forum-auto.com where mostly BMWs were posted.

Look at the fender flares on both cars, both are just pulled fender flares and not the big KK flares

Waking this thread up, here are two photos of the Dale Wood entered Mustang at the first official Trans-Am race, March 25th. 1966 at Sebring, a four hour event. A.J. led the first half, but retired the car with I think a head gasket failure.

In the one photo A.J. & Shelby are sitting on that car in the pits. Does any one know if there was any help from Shelby with this car ?

From what I've found, A.J. also drove a Mustang at Daytona during the 24 hour weekend, in February 1966. I don't know if this was the same (Dale Wood's) car, or if he just tested a car, or drove it in a race ? I've not been able to find any documentation, or photos for Daytona.

Where I'm going with this is that I have a 1/43 model kit of this car, which includes decals which are different for Daytona & Sebring in '66, and am a bit confused by it all.

Hopefully the knowledge base here can come up with something.

Thanks ! Mike (honker)

PS:  notice the Terlingua Team decal on the rear fender !

ewww - I forgot this awesome thread!

Here's one I don't think was posted. I believe the photographer was a Mr. Jerry Melton - so used for educational purposes only!

Did some digging    Frustration  came up with this about the A.J. Foyt Mustang from Sebring '66. On the left side scroll down to Independent racers, third from the bottom is Dale Wood.

From what I found there were only two Mustangs at Daytona for the 24.

 Macon-West GT 350 # unknown.

Kearney-Reina GT 350 R (5R 212)

I don't know if Foyt tried one of these, or was there another car, maybe a support race he tried.

Phillip, great shot of the Dyke Mustang with the Cougars. Is that at Green Valley Texas 1967 ?

^^^ I have it filed under Green Valley on my computer, so I believe so.

Here is an interesting shot that was on the Fran Hernandez Facebook page.
