Is there any latest and greatest way to install LED 1157's on the 68? On my 69 cougar it was simply the bulbs and an electronic flasher.

Thanks

Should be a bulb for Bulb replacement.

Upgrade the flasher to a slower one, such as the ones sold, or try an EL-12 relay style flasher

I bought one of their first sets when they became available for my 70 Shelby. They are still working great. Gary

I can't believe I thought this was such a big deal... been sitting on this project for over a year.
Just installed the 1157 LED's (already installed electronic flashers a while ago) and wow, "Let there be light"
Everything works but the turn signal lights dim out as it goes from center to outer, but it had started doing that before the bulb swap... will call Vic at Cougars Unlimited this week.
Thanks for all the advise!

Just need a flashed that holds longer, or a quicker sequencer.

Roger Wilco, I will get back to this next week with a flasher change.

I'm such a doof. I had installed electronic flashers a few years ago. The only thing I needed for this to work was a fully charged battery and or the the car running! As stated by others, just a simple bulb swap with the electronic flashers!

GT - You did just identify a very common error made with 68-70's - Voltage. To properly test, the car needs to be either running or on a battery charger. Otherwise, it will be slow and dim.

Now have some fun and drive!
