I have the '94 Muscle Mustang & Fast Fords Article and will post up the pages shortly. First, I want to post up some interesting points in the feature article for discussion.

-They name the original owner as Tony Ternes and not Howard Ternes (per the 97 registry).

-Next, they mention the black w/white stripes (1 of 1) color combo was inspired by an original '65 Shelby test mule.
Can anyone enlighten me if this is true?

-They also mention that this MKII 002 was returned to the SAAC factory (Watson Engineering) for engine upgrades/swap, ironically from MKI 002 with 430+ HP.
Although nothing is mentioned in the '97 registry, I have heard rumors that MKI 002 was wrecked by the media during a test / review.
Can anyone elaborate and/or substantiate on this?

I'm pretty sure the MkI 002 was wrecked like you said.  I think DiRusso and DiMarzo had discussed this.  I'll send DiRusso this link and hope he finally starts talking.

It would be great to hear more about MKI 002.

Would you mind letting Chris DiMarzo know I'd like to talk to him. As the SAAC Co. Ops Mgr I'm sure hew could set me straight on a few items as I continue to research production and work to update the next registry.

I was hoping for more of an in depth discussion but, I guess those in the know aren't reading this.
Regarding the MKI wrecked car I guess I'll continue my quest for more info.

Maybe I'll post the '65 test/ mule question in the 65 section and see what responce I get on that part seperately.

Without further delay here's the 4 page article on the Black & White MKII 002. It's got some serious mods to make it a real performer.

Hey Andy,
Great conversation for sure! Thanks for clearing up my Howard "Tony" Ternes question. That's the second SAAC owner I"ve come across that uses another name vs. their first name. Your photoshop work looks excellent. It's much nicer to see the whole car togther instead of the 2 pgs split. Hopefully you will run into Tony again soon and he will add some more info on the history of his MKII 002, such as current mileage, additional udgrades if any, etc. The quest continues for a picture of the Black and Silver striped Snake 007.
