Spark Plug wire issues
« on: April 07, 2018, 08:24:43 AM »
Son was moving a plug wire just a bit while engine was running and found out his wires do not keep the electricity inside the rubber insulation like he thought it should. Is it common to get that much of a jolt by simply toughing a plug wire at mid-point between dizzy cap and plug and getting crap slapped out of him? Are plug wires failing and possibly cross firing at times? Engine is really strong but does have run on after it gets hot. Engine is 351/392 with MSD dizzy. Not sure who made wires though.
Thoughts?
Thanks

No you should not get your battery recharged! Time for some new wires.
