Here we go again. Lots of scuff plates out there, the USA made ones are the best I've found.
Can you tell which is made in USA?
I haven't tried the stainless steel version yet. These three are aluminum.

I had a hard time fitting the SS version in my convertible, but I tried again with my '65 fastback, and the Scott Drake SS versions fit great and look incredible at a great price.  No more lousy tin foil quality reproductions should be tolerated by anybody.

Thanks for the tip about the stainless version, the old scuff plate repros were thinner than a beer can. All have improved.
The #2 scuff plate was made in USA and is the concours version from Drake. It fits well and rivals the original in both thickness and appearance.

I believe the most correct scuff plates are the ones produced by Daniel Carpenter Reproductions.
These have been made on the Ford tooling.  Very nice and look identical to the original Ford
parts I sold in the early 80's as well as those found on original unmolested cars.

....and they make good shelves for the home or office, but 67-68 rocker mouldings will hold more. Wink
