Hello,

i want to thank you to, because you bringing me to build my 1/64 LAX Sales Office and
probally one Hangar Front Side - even in this Scale the Hangars are hugh.

With Mr. Watters awesome Photos of LAX in the backround of all the Shelby´s and GT40´s
i have a good postion to make research and meassure the original size.

Please let me know when you have more photos of Cars with LAX in backround, even
the normally "bad" Pics for showing can have good Infos.

Are there generell more Photos for Mr. Watters or you showed them all in this Thread Huh?

Looking forward to see real historic photos from Shelbys!

For makeing a 3D Model i cut the papermodel out and glue it together to show the front side of the Sales Office

What you are thinking of this first Model Huh?





it looks a little bit tiny when you stand a Stang between the black panels ...
i only find the photo of the 289 Cobra stands between the panel.





Overall when standing the Truck an other M2 Models in the display i found it not so
bad, well it is 1/64 and tho some Details are tiny  Grin





At last i found a nice photo from a GT40 delivering in front of the Sales Office
you can even see the Trophys inside the Office room  Cool

Do both the small and large letter size both say "POLYSTEEL RADIAL" ?  

Do they offer a tire that doesn't have the "POLYSTEEL RADIAL" as that is not correct for a '60's Goodyear.

(Yes, that could be blacked out.)

they all seem to have too much message on the side wall, however the link above has a whitewall that could easily be blacked out turned inside and then the correct size GOOD YEAR in white added as per the other company option/service.

That is what i typically see on 67 GT350's. I have seen many with 66 date codes on 67.

Thanks Bob. So there must be two different types with the small nipple as I see the one in reply #8 of this thread that does not have the reinforcement and then the one in my photos that has the reinforcement?

Bob,
Very interesting that you have seen HiPo lids with a flattened side for "Monte Carlo"
bar fitting. I have such a lid dated 5A and without any spout whatsoever. Always though
the paint shop dropped it on the floor when they painted it together with the 5A dated
with spout I use in my 65.

I have seen the flattened side on just about every survivor type 65/66 Shelby that I can remember. that is a original Shelby base tell.  Wink   I haven't noticed it on 67 . I have always just assumed it was because of no bar. I would be skeptical of a 5A date being original on a 67 Shelby.
