Title: Correct brake master cylinder cap

Would someone please confirm the original finish on a 67 brake master cylinder cap.
Did they come with the sticker?
Did it change during the production run?

The metal cap has a zinc dichromate finish that had the brake information stamped INTO and not raised up on the cap. The cap was solid and did not have the small vent that 70 and later caps had.  The topside was painted black while on the master assembly. There was a silver and red shield shape sticker applied over the painted finish. There was a early and a later version of the sticker only and not the cap.

Late 71 bendix changed the vent to raised V hole on rear top hump from the rounded hump vent on rear corner cap lip by rubber seal. In the fall of 68 bendix went to raised letter cap to eliminate using the decal.

Hopefully not to add confusion but to add to the info Ed gave theMidland boosters still carried the stickers in late 68 as seen on some early 69 production cars that we have both seen with them.For those reading 67/68 Shelby's used Midland style boosters. Some very early 69 Shelby's also had Midland but the vast majority had Bendix.

I'm trying to figure out if my master cylinder is correct for a 67 GT-350. It has markings underneath that it looks like Lockheed and PFF-78228.
