First National Shelby Convention - 1973227 viewsMy lovely wife Diane in her famous "Shelby dress". She made this outfit herself to wear at car shows when we displayed the GT350. At SOA III in Wichita, Carroll Shelby autographed the dress (while she was wearing it) causing her face to get redder than my brakelights.cobrajeff

First National Shelby Convention129 viewsThe very first national Shelby Convention (SOA I) was held at the Heidelburg Country Club in Reading, PA. My wife Diane and I drove down in 1206 with my friend Roger in CSX2530. We both had our trunks full of parts, and started the first "Swap Meet" activity at the Convention.cobrajeff

CSX 3208 - Cammer Cobra 1976125 viewsCSX 3208 at SAAC I Convention in Oakland, CA, August, 1976. Driven to the Convention from Colorado by Rene Bloeman. I recall Bloeman telling me how hot it was incredibly inside the car - said he carried a gallon milk-jug of water with him that he would pour onto his feet at rest stops to cool off!cobrajeff

Diane and the BOSS76 viewsMy beautiful wife Diane with the BOSS. She was a trooper - went to all the Shelby Conventions with me (except the one when little Jeff was only 3 weeks old). We even got married and honeymooned at a Shelby Convention! She used to help run the popular vote car show at the conventions.
She was truly an enthusiast, my inspiration, and a wonderful Mother. Sadly, she passed away in 1986, finally succombing to liver cancer. Most old-time SAAC members still recall her bubbly personality.
